They have a special kids pediatric emergency department apart from their regular emergency department for adults. I think it's a great setup.

Excellent Children's Emergency Room. My son went to our primary physician a few times extremely dehydrated and vomiting. Nothing worked. Two days later we went to St. Peter's and they immediately took him, checked him out, gave him IV. The Dr. explained why the medication my other Dr. was prescribing was not helping in layman terms. He gave my son a different type of medication and within two hours, my son was asking for a hamburger.

I took my son who was having abdominal pain, while we are waiting at the reception, the hospital reception people joking around and chilling out while my son was crying waiting to be seen and there was no sense of urgency in the hospital not even in the in the emergency room. We had to wait 2 hours before he was seen by a real doctor, in the meanwhile the several university students were asking repeated questions to my son. I had to take my son again to same place next day for the same abdominal pain, i observed same carelessness. Staff including doctors are poorly trained with poor hospital management system. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone for emergency services

Now I got crazy bills where the doctor billed us the entire amount saying that he was out of network although the hospital is in-network in my plan.

Very bad experience. Emergency care doctor for my infant pressured us to perform Lumbar puncture on my daughter without any satisfactory reasons. When we wanted to consult our primary pediatric, he initial was reluctant but then contacted him & eventually all the doctors after him did not recommend Lumbar puncture + were not convinced why that was recommended.

Seems that there is definitely not enough nurses there. When my son was under 104 high fever, no body cared there. We called many many times, and the nurse was holding someone's hands talking and smelling. So sad!
